characteristics
Forgrin® complies with FIFA and LND regulations on artificial grass pitches.
- High weathering and UV resistance
- High temperature resistance
- The rounded and regular pellet shape avoids compaction and allows proper water drainage
- It does not shed dust and does not release bad odours, even at high temperatures
- Excellent aesthetical properties, it increases the value and the prestige of the sports facility
- It allows an excellent, homogeneous and durable biomechanical behaviour of the playing surface
- High performance at all technical and sport parameters, such as softness, elasticity, ball rebound
- Available in two basic colours, it can be customized (with fragrances and colouring)
- Quality consistency guaranteed by the SO.F.TER. productive process, certified ISO 9001:2008
UV Resistance
Made with a mixture of polymers which is highly resistant to weathering and UVs, Forgrin®’s maintains its mechanical proprieties and its typical softness and elasticity during the time. Measurements carried out by independent Laboratories prove that even after 3,000 hours of exposure to UV lamps, the pellets performance remains unaltered.
Quality and durability
Thanks to the rounded and regular shape of its pellets, the volume of the Forgrin® infill maintains itself constant in time. An infill made with ground pellets, on the contrary, tends to compact significantly: the ground pellets have an irregular shape and, in time, tend to occupy the existing interstices causing progressive hardening of the surface or even the compaction of large areas of the game field, thus partially or totally compromising its praticability and funcionality.
In addition to a worsening of the biomechanical behaviour, in fact, there can be a deterioration of the drainage capacity with flooding and water stagnation, with obvious consequences on the running costs of the facility.
Regeneration of the field
SO.F.TER. has been operating in the thermoplastic compounds industry for 30 years, and has the necessary know-how and technologies for the reclaiming of infill material at the end of its life cycle. Personalised ways of collection and recycle of the material can be catered for.
