certifications

The most qualified European laboratories have certified the Forgrin® compliance with the most severe international norms (*) about environment, human health, safety and sport.

Forgrin passed the tests based on the following regulations:

  • FIFA Regulation on Artificial sports field (tests made by ISA SPORT, NL),
  • LND Regulation on artificial sports fields,
  • EU Directive EN 71-3 (Safety of Toys),
  • DIN 18035-7 (Sports Grounds; Synthetic Turf Areas).

Forgrin does not contain the following hazardous substances:

  • Phthalates and Perfluorooctane Sulfonates (PFOS), as per European Regulation 1907/2006 annex 17 applicable from 01.06.2009 (REACH),
  • Halogens, as per IEC 61249-2-21,
  • Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) as per Document Zek 01-08,
  • Solvents (VOC), as per D.Lgs 152/2006, Art.268

Human health

Forgrin® is made with origin guaranteed and first-use raw materials, therefore it does not contain hazardous substances, such as Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) which are used in the production of tyres vulcanised rubbers (PAH free).

Environment

It does not contain heavy metals or other hazardous substances that could drift by scouring into the water-bearing layers and accumulate in the environment provoking damage to the flora and the fauna.

Safety

Even in the standard version Forgrin® has good fire-resistance properties. For indoor pitches, a totally “halogen-free” flame retardant version has been specially developed: by inhibiting flame propagation and smoke development it allows a safe evacuation of persons.
